Station 4 is part of North Battalion and has four personnel on each 24-hour, four-shift schedule that respond to incidents utilizing Truck 304. The station also houses a battalion chief, one battalion chief on each 24-hour, four-shift schedule, who responds to incidents utilizing the Battalion 302 apparatus. At least one crew member per shift is a paramedic capable of providing advanced life support (ALS) treatment. Each shift has a company officer (a lieutenant or captain), an apparatus operator, two firefighters, and a battalion chief.
Station 4 was originally constructed in 1973 and rebuilt in 1999, and serves the Lake Road, Westwood, Johnson City, and Webster neighborhoods, as well as Highway 224 (Milwaukie Expressway) and Interstate 205.
