Volunteer Program
The Clackamas Fire District #1 volunteer member is a cornerstone of the rich history of the fire service. Volunteers are relied on heavily to work side by side with career personnel in the daily performance of the fire district’s mission. Today, more than ever, the Board of Directors are committed to supporting the volunteer program.
The Volunteer Program is made up of men and women from all walks of life who serve roles in both suppression and support capacities.

► Interest FormSuppression Volunteers are trained and equipped to respond to emergency scenes and perform firefighting and other emergency response activities. They regularly participate in fighting fires, providing emergency medical care and in fire prevention activities. Whether you desire a career in the fire service or wish to serve your local community, this practical experience is priceless in developing the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in the fire service.
Support Volunteers play a critical role in providing service to the community. They provide the necessary support to meet the district’s mission by engaging in a variety of functions and roles including rehabilitation response and support, water tender response, command bus response and Chaplain duties.
