Public Records Requests

 
Clackamas Fire District #1 maintains several different types of public records, to include: to include: fire investigation reports, incident reports, medical records, inspections/fire code violations, and archival records. Clackamas Fire does not maintain records of above or underground storage tanks.
 
Request Fees

Incident and Inspection Records

The processing fee is $20.00 per report. If you were directly involved in the requested incident (i.e., patient, homeowner, building owner, etc.) there is no processing fee for your request. Please contact us if you have any questions about whether or not the processing fee is applicable to you.

There is a $10 fee for USB drives of investigative photos. Please note that these are typically only available for investigated fires. If you would like to know if there are photos available for your request, please contact us.

If paying with a check, please make checks payable to Clackamas Fire District #1.

Archival Record Requests

Archival record requests are billed based on time, materials of requested service, and overhead expenses (TMO). Cost  calculations may include direct costs (transportation, personnel, archival retrieval/restoring fees for off-site storage, and  any miscellaneous supplies and services) and indirect costs (administrative overhead and facility costs). 

Types of Requests

Address History

Please select this option on the online request form if you are conducting research on a property that may yield multiple records. For example, if you are conducting an enviromental assessment on a property and need information regarding all hazmat spills, fires, and fire code inspections that have occurred at the address you would select this option. Indicate the date range and specific information pertaining to your request in the Additional Information field. If your request yields multiple results and you would like copies of each record, you will be charged the $20 record request fee for each additional record.

Archival Records

These records include all non-incident and non-medical records that the District is required by Oregon law to maintain. For more information about Oregon public record retention schedules and requirements, please visit this website.

Fire Investigation Reports

These reports are for fire incidents, which may include fire investigation findings from the Fire Marshal’s Office. These reports may have investigative photos available as well. Please contact our office to confirm prior to requesting. Please note that fire investigations can take several weeks to complete, depending on the nature of the incident.

Incident Reports (non-EMS)

These reports include hazmat incidents, non-injury motor vehicle accidents, and other non-medical incident reports.

Inspections/Fire Code Violations

These records include fire and life safety inspections conducted by our Fire Marshal’s Office and violations noted during the inspection. Unless otherwise noted on your request, you will receive a copy of the most recent inspection/violations.
