Have you ever thought about a career in firefighting but weren’t sure what it really takes? Curious if this path might be right for you? Look no further!
The Fire Up Women’s Bootcamp is a two-day, hands-on career awareness event designed to give you a real look at life in the fire service—no prior experience required. Train alongside career firefighters from our local area while learning practical skills of the trade, health and fitness fundamentals, and what the job is truly like day-to-day. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions, hear real stories, and connect with women already working in the fire service.
Over the two days, participants will experience a variety of hands-on activities, including physical training, putting on firefighting gear, ladder operations, hydrants and water supply, forcible entry, advancing hose lines, SCBA use, vehicle extrication scenarios, search and rescue, and EMS/CPR skills.
If you’ve ever asked yourself, “Could I do this?” — this is your chance to find out.
