TO REPORT AN EMERGENCY: DIAL 9-1-1

Wildland Division

The Wildland Division supports the District’s wildland firefighting program. The efforts of this program put the Fire District in a position to respond to state and federal wildfire deployments, which provide an important revenue source for the District’s operations.

Crew 30 Seasonal Hand Crew

Crew 30 establishment:

After the historic and devasting wildfires in 2020, Clackamas Fire received a grant from Worksource Oregon and in collaboration with Clackamas Community College, established a 20-person Type 2 hand crew, referred to as Crew 30. This seasonal hand crew responds to wildfires throughout the state, constructing handlines and performing strategic burn-out operations to stop a fire’s progress. When not on wildfire, the crew is involved in fuel mitigation projects throughout the District. Crew 30 members are housed at Station 14 in Boring. The crew has their own building, known as the Annex, with training maintenance, storage, and office space to accommodate the crew’s needs.
