TO REPORT AN EMERGENCY: DIAL 9-1-1

Public Information

Clackamas Fire District #1 has a Public Information Officer (PIO) available 24-hours a day to respond to high-profile incidents such as fires, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, and incidents involving Urban Search & Rescue and Water Rescue.

The PIO also works alongside the news media to get important safety messages out to the citizens of the Fire District during large scale emergencies such as earthquakes, accidental hazard materials releases, flooding and severe weather.

In order for the news media to understand how the Fire District functions and how safety messages need to be managed, the PIO establishes vital relationships with the media by visiting and communicating with them on a regular basis.
